Sarasota Veterinary Clinic Announces Free Pet Boarding Summer
Special GlobeNewswire 2012-07-29
SARASOTA, Fla., July 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bee Ridge Veterinary
Clinic in Sarasota, FL announced a summer boarding special running from
June through the end of August. All pets boarding for four nights or
longer will receive an extra night for free. All dogs that stay longer
than four nights will also receive a free bath. The boarding facilities
are air conditioned for pets' comfort and sanitized for pets' safety.
Pet owners who choose to board their pets with Bee Ridge Veterinary
Clinic may be able to receive a free night for their pets. All dogs and
cats that board for at least four nights will receive a fifth night for
free. Dogs will also receive a free bath. The special is limited to one
free night, per pet, per stay.
"We are using this summer special to encourage pet owners to choose cat
and dog boarding care for their pets," said the clinic's veterinarians.
"Pet boarding at an animal hospital is a smart, safe choice, especially
when pet owners will be out of town for an extended period."
The veterinarians emphasized that dog boarding at an animal hospital is
a safer choice for a pet's well-being than being cared for by a
neighbor or left at home alone. In the event of an emergency, the
animal hospital's staff is available to provide immediate care and
assistance.
"While it's easy to have a neighbor check on a pet for one night, we
don't recommend this for extended vacations," said the Sarasota
veterinarians. "Pets left alone can become anxious, nervous and upset.
In the event of a health emergency, there's no safer place for a pet
than right by their animal hospital."
The cat and dog boarding facilities at Bee Ridge Veterinary Clinic
include separate areas for cats and dogs. Canine guests will also enjoy
supervised playtime and activities. Owners can bring their pets'
favorite food for twice-daily meal times. Pets will also receive daily
treats. If pets are currently receiving medication, the boarding
center's trained staff will be able to administer this medication in
accordance with the veterinarian's prescription.
All boarding facility space is regularly sanitized to prevent the
possible transmission of disease. Pet owners must present proof of
up-to-date vaccinations prior to boarding, including Rabies, Distemper
and Kennel Cough (Bordetella). Dogs are required to be on a monthly
heartworm preventative as well as a flea and tick medication. This
ensures the safety and health of all pets at boarding.
"With summer vacation in full swing, we are encouraging pet owners to
arrange boarding as soon as possible," said the veterinarians. "With
our free night boarding special, we know our reservations will fill up
quickly!"
