Hong Kong's Better Living Expo Opens to Sourcing, Entertainment HKTDC (ACN Newswire) 2012-07-20 Hong Kong, July 20, 2012 - ( ACN Newswire ) - The second edition of the Better Living Expo opened today with nearly 300 exhibitors and an expanded range of lifestyle products and services. The show, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Paper Communication Exhibition Services (PCES), continues until 22 July at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Cooking and Dining
The expo, open to public and trade visitors, provides a showcase of lifestyle products and services in a setting where exhibitors can gather instant customer feedback. Highlights include a new specialty area, "Cooking and Dining." It joins three returning areas featuring beauty, well-being & senior products, hobbies and learning, and value shopping. And new specialty areas Designer Corner, Fine Wine Galleria and Handicraft Corner offer expanded sourcing options for trade visitors, while providing new ideas to the public.
The expo is also showcasing a variety of quality local brands, including A-Fontane, German Pool, Kinox, Profilia and Tung Fong Hung.
Magic and Martial Arts
More than 60 events, including live radio shows, tai chi and Frisbee exhibits, as well as painting and musical performances, will take place over the fair's three days.
Expo seminars cover topics ranging from organic food and healthy eating to setting up an e-business and planning overseas travel. Public events include demonstrations of fencing, rope skipping, tattooing and balloon twisting, as well as pu'er tea appreciation. Also on offer are illusionists from Eddy's Magic and Magicman Marvin Lam. Model car "drift" racing, a popular competition last year, is another highlight.
Lucky Draw
The expo's lucky draw prizes are valued at more than HK$250,000, including fitness equipment worth HK$20,000 from Fitboxx, a diamond pendant worth more than HK$10,000 from Mabelle, hotel gift vouchers and more.
The Better Living Expo is taking place concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, which runs 18-24 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. A free shuttle bus service runs between the AWE and the HKCEC.
